- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
- Press the pizza dough to fit the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of the pan. Brush the dough with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Top the dough with the crushed tomatoes, chopped onion, and anchovy pieces.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the toppings.
- In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle this mixture over the cheese.
- Bake on a lower oven rack for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the pizza just before serving.
