Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
  • 1/2 cup Water or fruit juice e.g., lime juice, pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice optional
  • 1-2 tbsp Sweetener e.g., honey, agave, sugar, to taste

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Freezer

Method

  1. Place the frozen watermelon cubes, water or fruit juice, lime juice (if using), and sweetener into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and slushy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender a few times.
  3. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more liquid, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  5. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

For a thicker slush, use less liquid. For a thinner drink, add more liquid.
