Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 1 cup sourdough starter unfed/discard
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons to 3/4 cup water lukewarm
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour weighed or spooned and leveled
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast or active dry yeast
  • 4 teaspoons pizza dough flavor optional

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Stand mixer
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Kitchen scale

Method

  1. Stir any liquid on top of your refrigerated starter back into it before measuring 1 cup into a large mixing bowl. Note: This is a good opportunity to feed the remainder of your starter, if necessary.
  2. To make the dough: Weigh your flour; or measure it by gently spooning it into a cup, then sweeping off any excess. In your large mixing bowl or bowl of your stand mixer, combine the lesser amount of water, the flour, salt, yeast, and Pizza Dough Flavor with the sourdough starter.
