Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite kind
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
For Serving
  • 6 hamburger buns

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the sauce and stir to combine.
  6. Serve the pulled BBQ chicken on hamburger buns.

Notes

You can add your favorite seasonings to the sauce for extra flavor. Serve with coleslaw or pickles for a complete meal.
