  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes cut in half if very thick
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup water or beef broth
For the Last Hour
  • 1 pound green beans trimmed or more butter, if desired

  1. Spray the bottom of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add the beef and potatoes to the slow cooker.
  3. Season with the onion soup mix, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced garlic.

  5. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the green beans and extra butter, if using, during the last hour or two of cooking to prevent them from becoming too soft.
