Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Place the broccoli florets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the other side of the baking sheet. Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Roast the broccoli and salmon for 10 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon fillets. Spoon any excess sauce over the broccoli.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- If the sauce is too thin, you can return the baking sheet to the oven for a few more minutes to let it thicken, or stir in the cornstarch slurry and bake for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
- Serve the honey garlic salmon and broccoli immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also add other vegetables like bell peppers or asparagus to the baking sheet along with the broccoli.
