Ingredients

For the Agua Fresca
  • 2 cups cucumber peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup watermelon seeded and roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or to taste
  • 4 cups water
For Garnish
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves fresh

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine-mesh sieve
  • Pitcher

Method

  1. Combine the chopped cucumber, watermelon, lime juice, sugar, and water in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
  4. Chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve over ice, garnished with lime slices and fresh mint leaves.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference. For a less sweet drink, reduce or omit the sugar. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add more water.
