Ingredients
  

For the Taco Pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning from the grocery store
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can diced tomatoes undrained, 14.5 ounces
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta such as rotini or penne
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend

  • Large skillet
  • Colander

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes and uncooked pasta to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover the skillet and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

You can add toppings like sour cream, salsa, or chopped cilantro if desired.
