- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the salsa mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- If using, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken during the last 5 minutes of baking. Garnish with cilantro before serving.
Notes
Serve this baked salsa chicken with rice, quinoa, or a side salad. It's also great shredded and used in tacos or enchiladas.
