Ingredients

For the Cauliflower
  • 1 head cauliflower cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
For the Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Large bowl
  • Baking sheet

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret first into the beaten eggs, then into the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated. Place the coated florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Arrange the cauliflower in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the cauliflower is cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and garlic powder until well combined.
  7. Once the cauliflower is cooked, transfer the hot florets to a clean large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss gently to coat evenly.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can double-coat the cauliflower by dipping it in egg and then the flour mixture a second time before air frying.
