Ingredients
  

For the Wings
  • 1 can cooking spray
  • 2 pounds chicken wingettes or wingettes and drumettes defrosted if frozen
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika optional (use more regular ground paprika to substitute)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin optional
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil, and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wingettes with vegetable oil until evenly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the seasoning mix. Stir well.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken wings and toss to coat each piece thoroughly.
  5. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are cooked through and crispy.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
